What personal data is kept and why

When you leave a comment on our website, the data entered in the comment form, but also your IP address and the user agent of your browser are collected to help us detect unwanted comments.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called “hash”) can be sent to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. The privacy policies of the Gravatar service are available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After validation of your comment, your profile picture will be publicly visible next to your comment.

Subscribe to the newsletter

When you are registered on our newsletter your email is added to our mailing list to receive different information about promotions of our products and services, events and our articles. It is possible to register in the footer of the site available in all pages.

To unsubscribe from the newsletter, click on the link at the bottom of the last email received and follow the steps.

Online order form

The information entered in the form to order, are saved automatically to track orders and send two reminders by email if the order is not completed and paid after some leave.

Witnesses

If you leave a comment on our site, you will be offered to record your name, email address and website in cookies. This is only to simplify your life so that you don’t have to enter this information if you leave another comment later. These witnesses expire after one year.

If you visit the login page, a temporary cookie will be created to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. It does not contain any personal data and will be deleted automatically when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will set up a number of cookies to record your login information and screen preferences. The lifetime of a cookie is two days, that of a screen option cookie is one year. If you check “Remember me”, your cookie will be kept for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the cookie will be deleted.

By modifying or publishing an article, an additional cookie will be stored in your browser. This cookie does not include any personal data. It simply indicates the ID of the article you just modified. It expires after one day.

How long is your data stored?

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This makes it possible to automatically recognize and approve the following comments instead of leaving them in the moderation queue.

Orders are kept indefinitely to keep track of our invoices to the government.

If you have applied for a job on our website the information is kept for an undefined period.

If you are subscribed to the newsletter you can unsubscribe, by clicking on the link at the bottom of the last email received see the section of the form for more information.

For users who register on our site (if possible), we also store the personal data indicated in their profile. All users can view, change or delete their personal information at any time (with the exception of their username). Site managers can also view and edit this information.

What are your rights over your data?

If you have an account or if you have left comments on this site, you can request to receive a file containing all the personal data we have about you, including those you have provided to us. You can also request the deletion of personal data concerning you. This does not take into account data stored for administrative, legal or security purposes.
